A busload of music-focused youth and their teachers stopped into Windsor on Sunday as a break on their sojourn to Wolfville for the Annapolis Valley Music Festival. The group represents the string orchestra as part of the “Halifax Regional Arts (Music East), which provides after school programs for string, band, and choral students. This program is primarily funded through Supplementary Funding; a portion of which is used to enhance the music programs offered through the Halifax Regional Centre for Education.
The annual Annapolis Valley Music Festival takes place this week in Wolfville which is host to over 3,000 competitors of all ages from across Nova Scotia.
The 2019 Festival runs from April 29 to May 5, 2019 with “Stars of the Festival Concerts” being held on May 5 at 2 pm and 7 pm.
