Oct. 30 Windsor NS, It was a back and forth game (up and down the ice), as the Valley Maple Leafs (Junior “B” Fred Fox Division), secured an early lead never falling behind to take a win over the Glace Bay Jr Miners (Sid Rowe Division) on Friday night at the Hants County Exhibition Arena in Windsor NS.Andy Woolaver reported, “a great crowd on hand tonight to watch the VML versus the Sid Rowe Division leaders, Glace Bay Jr Miners. Valley went up by two in the first and while Glace Bay was able to tie it, the home squad never trailed. Backed by a great effort in goal by Chris Clokie and good determined two way play by all three lines and defense pairings, Valley win it 5 – 4.
Valley now goes on the road this Sunday to the newly renovated Antigonish Arena to face off against the Bulldogs.
