Valley Maple Leafs 5 Versus Strait Pirates 4

Nova Scotia’s Junior A hockey league Valley Maple Leafs were victorious over the visiting Strait Pirates in their regular season game on Sunday night Nov 22 at the Windsor Hockey Arena.

The Pirates were on the scoreboard early with their first goal in the first period. The Maple Leafs however picked up their game and kept the pressure on in the second period scoring three goals to exist the period at a score of 4 to 3. In third period each team added a goal with the Pirates keeping the game close and pulling their goal-tender in the final minute. This was to no avail as Valley took the game 5 to 4.
